Re: Free MGMAT given.. :(

I took the test yesterday and got 670. Here is the distribution. Q48, V33 While the quants section was difficult, I made a few silly mistakes to make it tougher. :( And about the Verbal, the RC was really tough. And i could have scored more in CR and SC. Here is my sectional report : RC = 6/12 6 cor...

Re: Baurisia's problem is indeed my problem!

I think its 2). The argument assumes that the reason for increase in per capita meat consumption is because of increase in prosperity - "However, with growing prosperity in Baurisia has come a steadily increasing per capita consumption of meat". So any statement that states that meat consu...

Re: slope question

Is the answer -1 ? If yes, then here is the solution how. Try to get the equation of the line. Equation of a line is : y=mx + c. Also we know, m , the slope = (diff in y coordinates)/(diff in x coordinates) so, m= (1-2)/(1-1/2) = -2 So line is y=-2x + c now, find c, put x=1/2, y=2, we get c = 3. So...

Re: The amount of car accidents

To me, have been is also right. But the fact there is no such option makes E correct here.
If the sentence you provided were also there in the options, it would have been interesting...

Re: DS with Ratios

Given that the cost of a square slab is proportional to its thickness and also proportional to the square of its length. Its cost, C can be written as C = k (W) (L) (L) (note that L is twice because cost is proportional to square of the length.) Here k is a constant. We need to find C, when W = 0.1,...

Re: Manager / Director - averages

I think its E. as we cannot find the number of employees from their average salaries.
At least one of the total salaries has to be provided.

Re: The Duke of Northumberland

In fact A is the correct answer. As it follows parallelism.

The Duke of Northumberland, ....., arranged a ...., and persuaded ....

There is no place for 'he' here.

Consider a smaller statement, "The duke arranged and persuaded ... " -> this sounds good right. hence A

Re: 660 on MGMAT - 1

I scored a 640 in MGMAT 1. Q46 and V32.
I found the Quant section a bit on the difficult side, too many time taking problems in the test. Verbal was a balanced test, but I carried on the bad momentum from Quant and missed a few tricks.
