Study Guide Problem Sets

I read somewhere online that the problem sets at the end of each chapter in the Manhattan GMAT books are from the Official Guide. Is that true? I thought they weren't and only the problems listed at the end of each guide were all the Official Guide problems that covered the topics addressed in each ...

Re: Study Guide Problem Sets

Ok, thanks Stacey. That might be what it was. It was from a May 2012 post on wallstreetoasis by phantombanker. I think I am going to focus on OG problems from hereon out since I only have two weeks left to take the test and I am in Week 8 of the syllabus.

OG Problem Review Process - Tips?

When studying OG problems, I cruise through the problems quickly in doing each week's homework, but it takes me a painful amount of time to review. You guys recommend to spend twice as long reviewing as answering problems. But I don't even see how that little amount is possible when you recommend re...

Re: OG Problem Review Process - Tips?

Those times I just mentioned are probably on the shorter end too. SC is basically taking way too long to get through reviewing. Should I skip reading some of the explanations?

Advanced GMAT Quant Book

In reading through the syllabus, I see that there is an Advanced Quant book that is available to students scoring above 44. I recently broke 44/45 on my practice GMATPrep CATs. I took the exam this past week scoring a 49 Q. I am planning to retake since I did not break the 700 mark however (690 49 Q...

Re: RC - Lyme Disease - GmatPrep

Can someone please explain why this is not A? No one has attacked that answer to my knowledge. It's just high-level reasoning why B is the answer.

Re: Sentence correction: Can/Could and Like vs/as?

Resurrecting this problem because I just was assigned it via my tutor in HW and I don't see a clear answer here. This is an official problem however from the GMAT paper test. Test 37 to be exact. Can someone help in explaining why D is the best choice here? I chose E thinking you're comparing thinki...

Re: 1000SC - #78

I have a few questions. I keep looking up these sentence correction problems my tutor has been assigning me from the old GMAC paper tests for verbal prep. They are coming up under 1000 SC. But what is 1000 SC and why is it banned if every question I keep searching is from the old paper tests? These ...

Re: Citing the fact that the real gross domestic product (RC)

incidentally, there's no such thing as 'showing that a fact ... is inaccurate'. if something is a fact , then, by definition, it is accurate! so, we can eliminate choice A immediately, even if we have no idea what the author is actually saying. On this same question... what is so wrong with B here?...

Re: Citing the fact that the real gross domestic product (RC)

On this same question... what is so wrong with B here? I was choosing between B/C. ^^ there are at least four different problems in this thread. so, you'll need to quote the specific problem here. thanks. Ron, Sorry. I thought I was replying to the qoute in which you directly responded to that ques...
