Flash Cards: Heavy Division Shortcut

There was a post about Heavy Division Shortcuts a while ago, but it involved 10 ^ exponent, and this question does not. On one of the FDP flashcards, the question says: 1,863,471 / 626,502 = (estimate) a) 3 b) 4 c) 5 d) 30 e) 35 The answer says that you can basically cross out all the numbers beside...

Add one before you're done

Hi! I don't understand the "add one before you're done" rule for counting integers. For example, one of the questions I answered asks you to number raffle tickets from 101 - 350. The Manhattan Prep explanation says to do 350 - 101 + 1 = 250. I thought the answer would be 249. Why do you ha...

GRE vs. GMAT (with scores listed)

I started out with a 520 on my GMAT (31 Quant, 30 Verbal). After a couple of sessions of an MPREP class, I already was able to rise to a 590 (37 Quant, 34 Verbal).
