Think of it this way:
If I know that 10% of GDP was spent on Flowers, and that $20 was spent on Flowers, then I know that GDP was $200. Another way to write that:
GDP = Flowers / (Flowers/GDP) --> GDP = 20 / (.1) = 200
(Keep in mind that the 10% tells us that (Flowers/GDP) = .1)
Basically, the (Borates/GDP) part just references the percentage we've been told Borates were in the first graph.
GDP = Borates / (Borates/GDP) --> GDP = (15 * 205) / (.03)
(The .03 comes from the first graph, which tells me that Borates were 3% of total GDP, just like my Flowers example said that Flowers were 10% of total GDP).
