The explanation for the third option says a way to calculate the GDP.GDP=Borates/(Borates/GDP).
I totally didn’t understand.Please explain.

Hey Manigraja,

Think of it this way:

If I know that 10% of GDP was spent on Flowers, and that $20 was spent on Flowers, then I know that GDP was $200. Another way to write that:

GDP = Flowers / (Flowers/GDP) --> GDP = 20 / (.1) = 200

(Keep in mind that the 10% tells us that (Flowers/GDP) = .1)

Basically, the (Borates/GDP) part just references the percentage we've been told Borates were in the first graph.

GDP = Borates / (Borates/GDP) --> GDP = (15 * 205) / (.03)

(The .03 comes from the first graph, which tells me that Borates were 3% of total GDP, just like my Flowers example said that Flowers were 10% of total GDP).

Hope that helps!
