5 lb. book (problem 14 of chapter 14)

by sudanikelvin Mon Jul 21, 2014 10:50 pm

Side A
200/[(200)^0.5]
Side B
(200)^0.5

both side same equal to sqrt(200) thus choice C as per 5 lb. book (problem 14 of chapter 14)

But what if we choose -sqrt(200) as two factors of 200 ..Then
choice should be D...

Please correct my confusion...

Hey Sudan,

I'm not totally sure what you mean by "choose -sqrt 200 as two factors of 200". You don't "choose" factors. You just HAVE factors.

If I were doing this question, I would multiply both columns by rt. 200 straight away

Column A: 200/rt. 200 --> * rt. 200 = 200

Column B: root 200 --> * rt. 200 = 200

Make sense?
