Pg 79 guide 3 why area of square is maximum when its perimeter is least and why perimeter is max when area is least?

Hey KP,

First off, please title any posts with something more descriptive, such as the book + pg./question #. (I've changed this one myself.)

As for why the maximum perimeter comes when you have the minimum area, really you can just look at the pictures. You don't have to know WHY so much as just see that it's visually true. Just notice that as the square stretches out into a thinner and thinner rectangle, the area is clearly shrinking.
