Let,

Weight of boxes
B1 = Boxes having weight 10 pounds
B2 = Boxes having weight 20 pounds

Grower fills more than twice as many 20 pound boxes as 10 pound boxes

No. of boxes

B2 = 3(B1) - just slightly more than twice
if B1 =10
B2 = 30

Total weight of B1 boxes = 10 boxes * 10 pounds = 100
Total weight of B2 boxes = 30 boxes * 20 pounds = 600

To find:

% of pomegranates, by weight, that are packed in 10 pound boxes

(Pomegranates in box B1) / (Total weight of both boxes) = x/100
100/(600+100) = x/100
100/700 = x/100
1/7 = x/100
100/7 = x
x = approx. 14.28 %

(A)

Tommy, I am not really confident of the above approach. Looking forward for your review.

Thanks.

Hey Noob,

I love your approach. The ratio approach would just be to think conceptually:

It's already a 2:1 ratio. If we have twice as many of the heavy boxes, it's now a 4:1 ratio. That would be 80% to 20%. But we know they're filling "MORE" than twice as many, so actually it's GT4:LT1, or GT80% and LT20%.

That's the conceptual framework, but I like your numbers too!
