One Month Study plan

by jabeenshamji Wed Sep 16, 2015 4:56 pm

Hi there, I have been taking GRE online classes with Manhattan. My classes will end next week so I was looking for some one month study plan suggestions. I have all the materials but I needed some help with probability and combinations questions but the reason I am writing this post is to find one month study plan. I tried to search it on the forum and on blog but could not find it. I would really appreciate your help.

Hey Jabeen,

I would bring this question up in your class, because it's a common one, and you'll probably talk about it at length. If it isn't addressed there, I'd still recommend you then write to your instructor and ask the question, so you can get real one-on-one advice from someone who knows you. If you still don't have an answer at that point, feel free to come on back here.

Good luck!

I have two questions-
1] I have the 2nd edition of GRE Practice Problems ( the one that has English ,Maths, Essays etc). There are 24 chapters in Maths with an average on 30 questions in each chapter and some tests at the end. IS THIS ENOUGH MATERIAL FOR PREPARING MATHS FOR GRE?

2] I have heard that Readhing Comprehensions are really difficult ( more for me as i am an Indian). So, how can i improve my accuracy and timimg in Reading Comprehension ?

Hey Mad,

There's no direct answer to either of these, but I'll give general advice. To your first question, if you're close to your goal score already, then that could certainly be enough material. If you're not close to what you need to score, then it's possible that no amount of questions would be enough. You may need a book (such as our books, or some other company's books) that talks you through the material from the ground up, rather than just showing you a bunch of questions. It all depends on how much work you need.

As to your second point, there's no easy way. If you struggle with English overall, it's possible you'd need to work more on that before you even attempted the GRE RC. Make sure you're reading as much as possible in English every day--preferably relatively difficult material on subjects that will show up on the GRE (Social sciences, hard science, history, etc.). Good luck!
