Re: Q7 - In Western economies, more energy

I agree as well. Answer choice (D) is just a re-statement of the conclusion. It is explicitly stated (assumptions are unstated) and does not do anything to help strengthen the argument, which assumptions should do.

Re: Q13 - Consumer advocate: A recent study

I chose answer choice (C) but now understand why the correct answer is (A). Answer choice (A) tells us that for SOME consumers (wheelchair users) the convenience of front-loaders outweighs the advantages of top-loaders. This is not necessarily true for other people (i.e. non-wheelchair users), but w...

Thus, it has to be assumed that the cable bridge is more aesthetically pleasing than the concrete skyway. Also...

Re: Q13 - Therapist: Cognitive psychotherapy focuses

Here's my take on how to rule out answer choice (C). Do we know whether cognitive psychotherapy is the ONLY form of psychotherapy that focuses primarily on changing the patient's conscious beliefs? No. There could be other forms not mentioned in the text. Should we concern ourselves with this? No, b...

Re: Q15 - Humans are supposedly rational

Can someone please briefly describe why B is wrong? Here is what I think: The author states that humans "knowingly" perform certain acts in the text and uses that premise to support the conclusion that humans are not rational. I eliminated answer choice (B) because of that. Answer choice ...
