Q14 - Roger Bacon, the thirteenth-century scientist

I got to E), but only got it because everything else was wrong. Was he really criticizing his character? It seemed a little bit weak to me...

Q19 - Most people feel that they

Is the key this question that the sentence right before the last one is pretty much just filler designed to get the test taker to associate density with information being delivered too quickly?

Re: PT29, S1, Q17 - It is impossible for there to be real

Yes, I've seen a several questions like this before and always get what they were hinting at but your insight gave granularity on what's behind it.

Re: PT 46 S 2 Q14 Roger Bacon

I like that comparison. Looking at the question now, I can't even figure out why I had trouble with it.

Re: PT 49 S3 Passage 4 Cultivation of Maize

I think that may have been my problem on this passage... spent too much time trying to visualize/comprehend details rather than looking at the big picture and how those details relate to it

Q17 - Columnist: It is impossible for there

I picked A but I'm having trouble pinpointing the flaw in the argument.

Re: PT 39, S4, Q23 Editorial: Given the law of supply and demand

I'm not sure if it was warranted but I thought C) was wrong because I didn't think he ever said that a pure market economy is the "most likely" way of achieving it on the basis of maximum total utility being assured ONLY in a PME. I just thought he did an apples to oranges comparison. I th...

Q12 - People in the tourist industry

I got the right answer (D), but just wondering what are some ways that you could see this flaw in reasoning disguised in the answer choices for some of the tougher questions?

Re: PT11, S4, Q11 - Logging industry official: Harvesting

Thanks.. It helps. Focusing on the conclusion definitely helps not get side tracked with all of the fluff material in the question... I just need to remember to do it.

Re: PT2, S4, Q14 - The mayor boasts that

yes, I think was getting lazy with this question because it looks fairly obvious now. I have a bad habit of staring at answer choices and debating them rather than just going back to the stimulus to find the right answer.

Question about #17 RC

Is it just me or am I the only one who thought the passages equivocated with the term "industrial biotechnology". I'm not scientist, isn't that different from "biotechnology industry" with the former referring to nanotech etc? I see that the passage mentions "new drugs and t...

PT 49 S3 Passage 4 Cultivation of Maize

I have trouble with passages like this because there isn't much of an argument that can be broken down and you're stuck with trying to comprehend a passage about corn and photosynthesis. Is it recommended to approach a passage like this by thinking about side 1 or 2? If not what's a better way to br...

Q14 - The mayor boasts that

I understand the best answer is E and not A (which I put), but not sure what was supposed to tip me of on the correct answer.

Q11 - Logging industry official: Harvesting

I'm not quite sure why C can't be the right answer or why B is because it doesn't seem to address the second half of the question.

PT 43, S3, Q18 In a highly publicized kidnapping case

I'm not quite sure why the answer is B and not C. I can see that the local citizen used the term in two different contexts but C just seems more attractive because everything the local citizen said wouldn't apply.

Re: Question about #17 RC

Thanks... I understand. I think for comparative passages an effective strategy (at least for me) is to attack the questions for it at the end of Passage A. I notice it helps with questions like this, especially if its the last passage I'm doing and there's a limited amount of time left.

Superprep C Game 1

I didn't think the game was particularly difficult, but I ended up plugging variables in rather than having a good diagram. What would be a good one for this game?

Edit: wow not not sure what I was thinking when I didn't specify the game.
