Q1 - Critic: People today place

What is the argument of the stimulus?

It's very seldom that I can't identify the argument with confidence, but this one got me.

Thanks

Re: Q13 - Tent caterpillars' routes between their nests

Why is (D) wrong? If the pheromones left by tent caterpillars are not different from the pheromones left by other animals, then how can a tent caterpillar know that it is following a route to food source left by another fellow caterpillar? If they can't tell the difference, then leaving pheromones w...

Q5 - Studies reveal that most people

Hi, can anybody explain why (B) is wrong?
I think it can be inferred from (B) that people choose flavor over nutrition, so it helps strengthen the conclusion that health experts should emphasize flavor.

Thanks!

Re: Q22 - When a society undergoes

I can understand why (C) is correct. But can somebody explain why (A) is wrong? Let's put the gap between deference and value aside for the moment and assume deference=value. If we negate (A), that means the young members cannot often discern whether the society is changing rapidly, then they may go...

Re: Q14 - Resident: Residents of this locale

(D) is a premise booster! We've already heard that the area has developed. This is giving me more information about the development. Premise boosters are never the correct answer for strengthen questions. Also, many could mean 20 (see above). Hi, thanks for the answer. Can you elaborate why premise...

Re: Q6 - Although we could replace

Why is C wrong? If that choice is negated and you don't have to preserve the beauty of river crossing then it wouldn't make sense to suggest the additional cost of a cable bridge. I have the same question and was debating between (C) and (E). Negating (C) we get "The beauty of the river crossi...

Re: Q23 - Our consultants report that

I don't see how E weakens the causal relationship. The relationship is: Time management seminar ---> more efficient (T --> E) To weaken this, one would need to show : T --> ~E However answer choice (E) only shows: E --> ~T It just shows that you can have E without T. But that does not c...
