Things you need to know about wikipedia experts

Who are Wikipedia experts? The question popped up my mind a while ago and being a geek to find things out I went on to explore the same. Firstly, I gathered the information about Wikipedia and it was clearly visible that it is one of the largest website where people and organizations could list themselves and share the information to the viewers. By both end i.e. viewers and the organizations it was beneficial and the website was easily accessible. Then I came to the fact that people who have expertise in using this website were called as Wikipedia experts and I came with the thing that why do only experts can get to the website efficiently. This made me realize that notability requirements and terms to access the website are harder than people even think and thus it requires an expert to get thing about Wikipedia done. After I was done with the question about need of experts here I was encountered with another question and that was the scope of the Professional Wikipedia experts in the future and this is what I am searching upon now. Will they be needed in future or will they vanish like many of the other fields that were temporary? Is this a field that could be opted as career or is it only the trend of time?
