a question in manhattan test

by 448018590 Sun Feb 21, 2016 3:09 am

In the first manhattan prep test, I have a problem. A circle was draw in the first quadrant.
My question is that, since ETS won't show picture in the true proportion, so I worry that even in your test, the circle is put in the I quadrant, it may be lies in other quadrants,
Could I say even ETS may distort proportion, but when the circle is drawed on the first quadrant, then it is surely on that quadrant?

Please try to only write in full grammatical sentences on this forum. It's good practice for the GRE, which requires you to write essays (and has a lot of complex English sentences one has to be able to understand in the verbal sections).

To answer your question, figures are not drawn to scale. That's different from placement. If it looks like it's in a quadrant, it is in the quadrant, just as if it looks as if it's touching a line, it is touching that line.
