always follow the below rule -

PEMDAS

1st Priority - Value inside parenthesis/groupings/brackets
2nd Priority - Exponential values
3rd Priority - Multiplication and Division
4th Priority - Addition and Subtraction

If you come across a case where there are 2 or more things with the same priority, just solve from left to right (whichever comes first)

6÷2(2+1)

1st priority : value inside brackets
(2+1) = 3

6÷2(3)

Now we have division followed by multiplication, both share the same priority,

In this case when you move from left to right
1st part is 6÷2 => 6÷2 =3
2nd part is value of 6÷2 multiplied by 3 => 3(3) = 9

Ans is 9

Also, it is worth continually discussing what is realistic on the GRE. This would never be tested on the GRE. Never has been, never will be. In fact, that symbol (the division symbol) is never used for EXACTLY this reason (it causes unnecessary confusion). Instead, the GRE will always use the fraction bar (putting one thing over another thing).
