Formulas

Does Manhattan Prep have a comprehensive math formula sheet? Online or in their texts?

Hey Jlo,

We do not. However, the GRE is very light on formulas, believe it or not. Basically it's just the average formula and what you need to know for geometry (all of which is in the geometry book). The test is not primarily about memorization, but about application, trickery (yep!), and critical thinking. Take a couple practice tests and see if there are any questions that you miss because of not knowing something formulaic. If so, write that down! But I bet you'll be surprised at how little there is to know!

The real tricky part is to know all the basic formulae. This is what I did for my GRE preparation and believe me it helped a lot.

Hey All,

Knowing the formulae is necessary, but I would definitely disagree with Raj's saying that this is "the tricky part." Memorizing a few dozen very basic formulas (the stuff you knew when you were 13) is the easy part. The hard part is the way those formulas are applied on the test!
