GRE Quant

by vidu_kanwar Tue Feb 07, 2012 2:27 am

Hi
I am preparing for GRE and evaluating different resources which can be of help to my preparation. I find this post helpful because of the tips given here. Quant is my weakness and I dread it. I came across this resource http://www.wiziq.com/course/2526-improv ... tive-score and iv checked a few test prep of mahattan and kaplan too. What do you suggest is the best for me. I am looking for something that will help me start with basics and then move forward to tougher problems.

Thanks

Hi Vidu,

Thank you for your interest in Manhattan GRE! We understand that Quant can be an area of concern for many people. Our students have access to a number of quant specific materials including 8 hours of recorded workshops on basic math that we call "Foundations of Math." I would recommend that you attend one of our free trial classes and see how you fare with the quant material covered in that session. If you struggle there, Foundations of Math might be good for you.

I took a look at the link that you included in your post. I would caution against using that site because it appears that they have not updated their materials for the Revised GRE. The GRE was significantly revised on August 1st of last year. In preparation for the new test, we updated all of our books and curricular materials for the new test. You need to be sure that your prep materials are updated for the new exam, because the new format is significantly different than the old test, and outdated materials will not adequately prepare you.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions, please let me know!

Best,
Taylor
