This is a could be true EXCEPT question, so the correct answer choice must be false. Keep in mind, that anything in the universe, even if it´s not stated in the argument, could be true if it´s not disproved by the argument, so don´t be surprised if you see an answer choice that does not relate to the argument, i.e. one that is out of scope.

a) This could be true because nothing in the argument proves it false.
b) This is the correct answer because of the word ¨invariably¨, which means always. The last sentence says that the dehydration process is exacerbated when large amounts draw water from the blood to the stomach. Note that this condition does not apply other amounts-what about small or medium? B implies that these substances includes large amounts, which contradicts the argument.
c) This could be true because nothing in the argument proves it false, even though it is out of scope.
d) This refers to the argument, but the room for interpretation comes from the quantifier ¨some¨.
e) This could be true because nothing in the argument proves it false, even though it is out of scope.
