How is possible for selling both new and old versions to weaken the conclusion?

Hi --

Sorry but I had to delete the actual question per forum rules, but here is an explanation:

The specific complaint that customers have is that if there are different versions of the product that have the same name, the customer can't be sure which version he is getting -- the old or the new.

The dealer tries to rebut this by saying that the new version is better, but this won't address the issue if the customer walks into the store and still doesn't know if he is going to get the new or old version, which is the issue that (D) addresses.
