Q13

by jackie8848 Mon Oct 10, 2011 7:07 pm

I'm not sure why (D) is the correct answer. The author does mention that deconstruction is "not organic but mechanical processes" (line 30), but I don't see how deconstruction has a tendency to focus only on the problems and faults of literary text.

I chose (B). I guess the reason why it's incorrect is that "revealing the role of older meaning of words" isn't quite accurate. Any comments?

Thanks!

First when I looked into the question, I also thought (B) was close to an answer.. But taking the author's attitude of the writing, is generally negative attitude towards deconstruction refer to Line 28-30.. And also he says "...but mechanical process" (which eliminates (E) and directs us to (D)")

Answer choice (A), (B), (C) gives positive attidues..
(A) -"guardedly optimistic"
(B) - "endorse"
(C) - "enthusiatic"
(E) is an negative attitude but takes it too negatively..

Hope this helps :P
