Questions that ask for the "most similar" / "most analogous" answer can be tricky, since the answers here (by design) go beyond what was mentioned in the passage.

We need to start by figuring out how we would describe the role of professors who use copy shops to produce course packs.

In the context of the last passage, the court ruled that the professors have the right to make course packs, so they also have the right to hire someone who can make the course packs more cheaply than they could.

We might expect an answer to deal with having a legal right to do something, but outsourcing that task to someone who can do it more easily.

A) Professors aren't making the copies and they're not selling the copies, so this answer seems off.

B) This sounds a bit like a professor making a course pack: choosing excerpts he wants his students to study but hiring someone else to make copies of it.

C) The professor isn't making something that sells for less than a similar competitor. If anything, this answer better relates to the fact that the copy shop can make copies for less than the professor can.

D) The professor isn't doing the printing and the selling, so this answer doesn't match up.

E) The professor isn't selling the course packs, so this answer doesn't match up.

It looks like (B) is our best answer.
