Simon is an entrepreneurial INSEAD MBA who formerly worked at Goldman Sachs in London and Brazil and at a global insurance broker in London and Milan. He has taught English in Argentina and completed an Ironman triathlon in Wales!
After 10 years at an all-boys boarding school in the English countryside, Simon decided to postpone undergraduate studies for a year, interning in economics research at Deutsche Bank in London and then teaching English on an NGO project in western Argentina.
Simon earned a 1st class degree in economics from the University of Durham (UK), and was an ERASMUS exchange student at the University of Trento (Italy). Subsequently, he earned an MBA with distinction from INSEAD—where he studied on both the Fontainebleau and Singapore campuses—and also sampled Philly cheesesteaks while studying at Wharton as an exchange student.
After university, Simon worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in London and Sao Paulo (Brazil). Post-MBA, Simon entered the insurance industry, working in strategy roles in London and as the COO of the Italian subsidiary of a global insurance broker.
In 2015, Simon earned a master’s in applied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. When he’s not teaching GMAT (Simon scored 760 on his first attempt), Simon runs a talent management firm that advises organisations on performance, wellbeing and resilience.
